Order Fulfilment and Product Distribution Services

Not every brand ships a single unit to a single customer. NPFulfilment has spent 23 years running order fulfilment for the brands that don’t fit a single-unit ecommerce profile, and we’ve built our kitting, bundling, and assembly workflow around the complexity that model creates.

Our product fulfilment operation runs from our 10,000+ sqm facility in Sydney. We ship at 99.9% accuracy with same-day dispatch on orders received before 2pm, backed by ISO certification, HACCP compliance, and carbon-neutral operations. Our 3PL warehousing infrastructure supports every assembly, kitting, and distribution workflow we run.

What Is Product Fulfilment?

What Is Product Fulfilment?

Product fulfilment is the process of receiving, storing, assembling, and dispatching products on behalf of a brand. It covers the same core logistics as e-commerce fulfilment, but the order profile is different. Instead of a single-unit, direct-to-consumer parcel triggered by an online checkout, product fulfilment handles wholesale cases, multi-component kits, subscription box builds, promotional packs, and retailer-ready cartons.

E-commerce fulfilment is optimised for speed and volume on single-SKU picks. Order fulfilment for B2B and subscription brands is optimised for assembly, in which multiple components are combined into a single finished unit before dispatch. The pick is only part of the job. The kit build, labelling, and retailer-compliant packaging are where the complexity lies.

B2B order fulfilment also operates on a different dispatch cadence. Instead of a steady stream of individual parcels, you’re often dispatching batch runs, monthly subscription drops, or wholesale orders timed to retailer purchase orders. The warehouse needs to handle both assembly and scheduling, which is why a dedicated product fulfilment operation outperforms a general ecommerce fulfilment provider for this kind of work.

Our Fulfilment Capabilities

Our Fulfilment Capabilities

Our order fulfilment operation is built around assembly and customisation rather than single-SKU picking. The team handles five core workflows as part of our everyday operation:

  • Kitting and Bundling: Multiple SKUs are assembled into a single saleable unit with branded packaging and inserts. We handle everything from two-product bundles through to 20-component gift sets.
  • Subscription Box Assembly: Monthly boxes built to exact specification, including seasonal variants, tier-specific contents, and custom inserts. We work with subscription brands shipping anywhere from 500 to 50,000 boxes a month.

  • Promotional Packs: Limited-edition, campaign-specific kits are assembled to marketing specs and dispatched on the release date. We hold components in advance and build to schedule.
  • Wholesale Distribution: Pallet-out and carton-out picking is arranged for B2B orders, with retailer-compliant labelling and ASN documentation where required.
  • Custom Labelling: Barcode, GTIN, EAN, and retailer-specific labels are applied at the pick-and-pack station. We label to each retailer’s specification so your wholesale orders are shelf-ready on arrival.

The Order Fulfilment Process

Every order fulfilment request follows the same seven-step flow, whether it’s a single retailer carton or a 10,000-unit subscription dispatch.

1
Receive.

Inbound stock and components are counted, photographed, and reconciled against your purchase order before being released onto the floor.

2
Store.

Components are placed in assigned locations, with climate and HACCP zones applied where relevant.

3
Pick.

Components for each order are picked using pick-to-light with 99.9% accuracy.

4
Assemble and kit.

Multi-component orders are moved to the assembly station for build, labelling, and the inclusion of inserts.

5
Pack.

Assembled units are packed to your specification, including branded cartons, protective materials, and any marketing collateral.

6
Ship.

Dispatch happens through your nominated carrier, whether that’s a wholesale freight company, an e-commerce courier, or a direct retailer delivery.

7
Track.

Tracking pushes back to your platform or ERP, with confirmation of dispatch to your customer or retail buyer.

Frequently Asked Questions

What’s the difference between order fulfilment and e-commerce fulfilment?

E-commerce fulfilment is built around single-unit direct-to-consumer orders triggered by an online checkout. Order fulfilment and product fulfilment cover the broader universe of wholesale, B2B, subscription, and promotional orders that involve assembly, kitting, or retailer-compliant packaging.

How much does product fulfilment cost?

Pricing is built from storage, component picking, assembly or kitting labour, and freight. Subscription box pricing is usually quoted per completed box. Kitting and wholesale pricing scale with the complexity of the build rather than a flat per-order fee. Most of our product fulfilment clients spend between $4,000 and $25,000 a month, depending on volume and assembly complexity. Our team will build a tailored quote against your specific workflow.
